Irene

Born and raised near Calgary, Irene went from high school to Business Education in Calgary, then went to work for C.M.H.C.

In 1957, Irene married her high school sweetheart, Art.  Irene worked with her husband, cooking for his road construction crew, and raising their family of five, while driving the children back and forth to school.

This hectic lifestyle was too much, so every holiday in B.C. they dreamed of having a campground and bringing up their children in a healthier area. In 1971 their dream became reality when a piece of property came on the market in Blind Bay, now known as the Sportsman Resort. After a couple of years the resort sold, and Irene and family moved to Reedman Point. Irene's husband opened his own excavations business and Irene became bookkeeper, go-for and car pool driver for the children's activities.

In 1990 Irene completed and passed her Real Estate exam and went to work for Royal LePage. Irene joined the Shirley Real Estate team November 2, 2000. Irene enjoys meeting so many wonderful people and assisting them in either buying or selling their homes.
